Can someone tell me how many levels are there in the nashkell mines. Also what can I expect after level 3. As a new player i find the whole game leans toward clearing the mines but also see that not many choose that quest. Many questions

I think that's the last, after that you have a boss fight and that's that.

Everyone has to do the mines, its part of the plot! Ehm there are 4 levels IIRC, but it could be 3, I havent been through them in a while, but Im just about to go through them again (probably tonight) so will be able to confirm if no one else has, but I think its 3 levels then the final level, just keep going and youl find out.

Yes, four levels. The game seems like it's entirely geared towards clearing the mines at first, but that's cuz like most good RPG's the end plot isn't handed to you in a nice clean cut narrative at the beginning. And I don't consider any fights to be "boss" fights in a TRUE RPG. There are slightly more challenging fights, though they can be made extremely easy using the right tactics.

There are 4 floors, although the 4th floor basically has kobold commandos on it, and the entrance to the final Nashkell Mine's battle is near the start of the level.

I think he's refering to the grey ooze that you fight behind M's cave. You can defeat it, but I believe only magical weapons can harm it. Not sure though. I do know however that spells are useless against it.
