durlag spoiler question

I have already got three of the things the dwarf wardens want, I have the gong mallet and the gong handle, but when I go to the gong I can't do anything. What am I missing?

Thanks. I never tought about that. I tried taking it to the Beregost smithy, and several other places, but of course they didn't work.

I found the gem. And I have made the wine... from what I just read here, the mallet is another item I need for the riddle. What is the other?

I also have the machine running. I really need a list of what the four little dudes want.
As I said.. I already found the gem that one of them needed. And another says I have what he needs (although he dosn`t take it from my inventory) I am assuming that it is the bottle of wine I made from the berries...

one of them wants pride. You have to activate the sword and then go and speak to the guy. But that could be the one you havent done, i think the bottle of wine gets taken away when u do that one.

sorry to dredge up this 2 year old thread but i've got a weird problem. i can see the () symbol on the anvil and near the machine but when i click on them all i get is a description, e.g. A forge, commonly used to make or repair tools. nothing more, no repaired mallet, no working machine. if it stays like this i'll have no choice but to give up on the tower.

Thou dost need a mallet and a mallet handle.

yeah, the character trying to use the anvil has the mallet handle and head in their inventory and someone else is trying to start the machine has the switch in their inventory.
