Two Questions

Alright, lets get straight to the point...

1) Are there any Manuals of [Blank] like in the first Baldur's Gate that will increase a particular Ability (Str, Dex, Con, ect...). I remember finding a Dex, Int, and Con one in the first one and was wondering about this one.

2) Does the PC get any more abilities like he did in the first Baldur's Gate? I'm referring to the Cure Light Wounds, Slow Poison, and Holy Might spells.

1) Legitly in game, NO. But manual of STR, CON, DEX, and INT still works if you choose to create it.
2) Technically no, but you will gain something pretty powerful near the middle chapters (no further spoils) to your innate ability.

1) Nope, sorry.
2) At the beginning, yeah, depending on some stuff I think (class, alignment, maybe race?) You'll lose it a little later, but by the time you do, you should have plenty of that stuff from mages and clerics.
