Can you downgrade your version? The disc set i have of wiz 8 is the latest patch, and I wanted to take advantage of pickpocketing.

thanks

nope.
You can pick the patched pocket, but it's a lot harder to get any good stuff.

When you enter an area the pickpocketable items are defined, so you could just pickpocket everything you can, with reloading if they catch you, leave the area and go back.

Another idea is to copy your saved games that you want to keep (if any) to another directory, remove Wiz8, reinstall, and then upgrade with the first patch 001. Copy saved games back to usual directory before playing. Should work if you really want PP, but then you will still have other bugs fixed by 001b. My 2 c.

no, Zig, it doesn't work. Saves patched higher than the installed game crash without starting.

no way to go back, unless you have the original game from way back when. it's a good thing for me that they keep the patch here on IW or i'd be playing the version where you can't get to AP.

appears it's one extreme or the other.

I guess you can delete old saves then and start fresh with the original game and the first fix if you really want an easy PP. I'm guessing you can delete all wiz files of importance first (not sure an uninstall kills them all). It may be worth it to someone. I do fine without PP, never really liked it because of the number of reloads.
