The worst I say is R.L. Stines books the books usually have many many things things in common even though they are with diffrent people and story. Some of the cliche is someone falling down the stairs usually the main characters best friend. The the best friend accuses the main character or some other close friend related to the main character. Some of the books are just down right funny!

I've preached this before: Ursula K. Le Guin's The Left Hand of Darkness. Go read it, and tell me if you understand any of it.

“A Wizard of Earthsea.” It was the first book in a trilogy the other’s being “The Tombs of Atuan and “The farthest Shore” In recent years LeGuin has added three new books set in Earthsea: “Tehanu” “Tales from Earthsea” (a collection of short stories set in this world) “The Other Wind”

Anything by R.A. Salvatore. Some people make him out to be some kind of major diety when it comes to fantasy writing, but I find him to be EXTREMELY cliche' in almost everything he does. And can you say uber characters?
