A lot of us have used an item with charged features.. like the amulet of static, breezes or weapons like the Burning spear, sword of 4 winds or stuff like the magic mirror for the Gadgeteer. My question is this...

What happens to these things when they run out of charges? I haven't actually tried using up my item's charges coz I don't know what will happen if I do, I fear that the item if exhausted of its charges will be rendered useless of its other properties. (Plus to AC or other enhancements)

Is there a way to get the charges back?

IIRC, items like Amulet of Healing can go down to 0 charges and you do not lose the item or its properties, but items like Mana Stones go away when the charges reach 0. Items can be recharged by selling the item back to a Vendor and immediately buying it back (later in the game for the same price at some vendors if your communication skill is high enough).

Yeah, certain items will disappear if you use their charges. But seriously, by the time you are at level 10-11 you wont need it unless you really need it to win the fight.

Well, a rechargable item with 12 times restore mana is nice to have at any time (stave of 12 stars). And the magic mirror of the gadgeteer is much more useful when you can recharge it.

The items that disappear when the charges are used up are also recharged when you sell and rebuy them. You just have to make sure to keep at least one charge in them . (Duh)
