it seems that the ice from the north and south poles are melting due to pollution creating the greenhouse effect. they have finnaly made a car efficiant enough that is run on a hydrogen battery to keep up with other cars. the beauty of this car is that it creates more water. problem is that it costs heaps and only toyota has made that brand of car. but, if this invention goes good (which it should) the global warming wil slowly fade away, but there is still the factories and nucular power plant. the government should do more about this problem with the environment.

Nice thing about cars on hydrogen is that hydrogen is made from water, and delivers less energy than it costs to make it in the first place.

Won't happen for awhile I'm afraid. It's a great invention, don't get me wrong, but the government won't really start developing it until the fossil fuels are extinguished. Because of...

If you're talking about fuelcell cars, the hydrogen used is extracted through electrolysis (which uses grid power... which many say will generate MORE pollution per mile than current gas engines) or from fossil fuels (natural gas for instance), and while it burns cleanly in the cell, the pre-processing required to extract the hydrogen may not be as clean.
I think we need to continue development of efficient engines coupled with filtering and catalyst systems. |

but the fuel they find int he ground is running out quick, thats why the petrol price is going hihger and higher till finaly there is none left, then theres that long wait until hydrogen gets better.

Gas prices are not going up because of our natural resources being depleted. It has alot with what opec has for reserves. And with America trying to establish other natural resources then the middle east. It causes some flux with the market. With the oil sands in norhteren Alberta. Alberta has the ablity to supply north America with all the natural resources it needs. The two goverments need to work out a trade deal. With a little luck it will not look like the soft wood lumber deal.
We still need to have other option to reduce green house gases. Those hybride cars are nice fit for now.

errr, you do realize they found bacteria that create hydrogen?
They can live in a swamp like area, so with one swamp per x amounts of houses you have free energy.. )

mmm... well... cars a big problem with pollution so if they run on hydrogen, pollution will eventually fade due to cars.
