how does having inventory weight in the blue affect you?
so far I haven't noticed any difference, but I read somewhere that blue is not good?

I can't seem to ever stay in the white. those stupid arrows and stones and quarrels weigh too much and i have to keep alot of ammo in the inventory cuz I have like 3 triple crossbows in the party

Non-white indicates that you're attacking power is reduced, from a loss of initiative (blue I think) through loss of swings/attacks and "to hit" ... basically if it's non-white it's bad

I don't think I ever saw white again after I started trudging around the monestary. My time has been split this way, 50% of the time in green(which I always assumed was good), 30% of the time in yellow(creates a minus to hit, a minus to stamina loss, and a minus to AC), 10% of my time in red(creates a major minus to hit, stamina, and AC), and 10% in the blue[which I noticed with 8 players right after selling all that I didn't need, and dropping items in a chest for latter access(this seemed to create an increase to hit, an increase to how long it took stamina to dwindle away, and an increase to AC)].

I guess all that having been said... blue is the best, and what I strive for when I am in town dropping things to a chest and selling things off. I always have plenty of arrows, quarrels, sling bullets, potions, and scrolls to do what ever I need(and am still in the blue).

The minute I drop my two extras to go into the Rift however, I have found that my weight quickly goes back to green, and if I pick up everything that is dropped I quickly find myself in the red. To combat this, I have gone to checking the bags for things I imediately need, such as magic potions, or arrows I may be low on. I leave the rest until I have finished working my way through an area and it is "cleared". I then go back around picking everything up and take it to be sold or dropped in a chest for later use. Going into the red at this time won't hurt me because I am no longer in battle.

Hope that helps a little....

Hi there!

I noticed a loss of swings, or better, shots when my characters were "in the blue". My gadgeteer could shoot 2 rather than 3 times, and Vi with the 3x shot crossbow had 3 shots, usually she gets 4. The same goes for everybody else who uses ranged weapons in my party...

Never forget your towel, cheers
Philipp

You should always try to stay in the white. Blue is acceptable but after that you loose a lot of potential in your team work. Carrying 500 bullets, arrows, quarets will simply kill your party. Just walk with the minimum inventory and buy, load when needed.

I do the same. Hack and slash arround thenpick up all the goodies to sell it. Having a low load in your party inventory boost the attack potential by a HUGE factor. Unless you like the challenge by loosing massif attack power. The prefer a mini team!

I find that I must be extremely critical of any inventory I carry around.

Do I *really* intend to use those 3 or 4 unique swords? Am I just holding onto an item in case I come across an RPC who might use it?

How many Sneeze Powders, Ales, and Empty Bottles do I actually need to become a Cosmic Lord?

If you don't need an item, but don't want to sell, just do as many have suggested-- use an available chest (like Antone's in Arnika) for storage throughout the game.

Hi,

Regarding the carrying limitations,

is it possible to use other characters or NPC's which are dead or knocked out as carrying bags.
Let's say you take an NPC you don't like in your party let him die and just dump everything in there.
You could do that in some other RPG's including (i think) Wiz 7.
Obviously not a nice thing to do for roleplay reasons.

BTW if that is a stupid comment - I don't have the game YET...
But will get it this weekend, it takes a long time to get it shipped to the UK and it's not distributed to the UK (what a shame!!!!!)

Sleipnir,

You're right about that corpse-turned-packhorse thing not being a nice thing to do, but it wouldn't bother me to do something along those lines to any of the NPCs who whine about not liking where you've taken them.

However, I'm afraid that strategy won't work in Wiz8, as it is impossible to give items to characters who are dead (and also because each character can only carry 8 items apart from whatever s/he is wearing). But since you can set up portals directly in front of chests, lugging around all that extra weight isn't a problem.

A lot of people talk about the chests of Antone and Anna, but if you're a compulsive sorter (such as moi), you might want to keep an eye out for the barracks in the Umpani camp. You can dedicate one chest to lightning bolts, one to impaling stones, one to magic nectars, etc. and so forth.

u guys are funny!!!!!
hehe chests heeeeheeee

i have a much better suggestion

Arnika

u go there once in a while to get stuff to antone and buy and steal from the various people there.

soooooo.....

Go into real estate development.
I have a nice house of melee weapons.
another house of ranged combat.
a museum of technological gadgets.
A musicians paradise filled with every instrument.
A house of potion.
A powder room.
A bookstore.
A temple with holy scrolls.
a clothing shop, where u can try on hats and capes and stuff.
a fireworks stand.
a house of curiosities.
And a huge junkyard.

See u dont have to leave stuff in chests.
You can leave it anywere.
even in arnika with myles walking around.
He just walks past my stuff and doesnt steal.
hehe

its pretty cool cuz i know where to go specifically for what i need.
