I recently upgraded from Windows 2000 to Windows XP Professional. I installed Shadows, but it runs so slow on XP. Are there more people experiencing these problems, it ran fluently on W2K.
I have an Athlon 1 GHZ with 512 MB onboard and a GeForce2 GTS with 32 MB. My system should be fast enough. I also downloaded the latest drivers for the hardware. |

I haven't had a problem on xp. Make sure you have enough free resources and try setting the compatability mode on the executable.

If you have any kind virus protect software running while you are playing, it can really slow it down. Try disabling Norton or Mcaffee while playing. It should help.
