The new year 2007 is almost upon us. Do you always wonder at the beginning of a new year what will it bring? Do you try to make predictions, and how successful are they?
Introducing the "I wonder what the New Year will bring..." (2007) competition. This is your chance to make predictions for the upcoming new year. You've probably participated in something similar before. The rules are simple. I make a set of questions about the upcoming events in 2007, and you try and predict the outcome. At the end of the next year, the person who makes the most correct predictions wins. So here goes: ************************************************* Sports 1. Who will win the cricket World Cup? 2. Will England qualify to the UEFA Euro 2008? a)Yes b)No 3. Who will be the winner of the Super Bowl? a)NFC Championship winner b)AFC Championship winner 4. What nationality will the winner of Tour de France be? Politics 5. The winner of the presidential elections in France will be: a)Nicolas Sarkozy b)Ségolène Royal c)Other 6. Initially I wanted to make a different number of points for different question, but then decided to have a simple '1 point per correct answer'. Total 15 points. Usually answers in such cases are sent via PM, but since due to changes on Ironworks PM might not work properly Please don't send me any answers using PM. All answers to be sent to zfr@onet.pl You may post or discuss answers here. Since correct answers are not know yet, I can see no harm in that. For purposes of the competition, the Year 2007 lasts from midnight of Dec 31 2006 to midnight of Dec 31 2007, GMT. No answers accepted after midnight Dec 31 2006 GMT. As usual judge's decisions are final. And cheating is allowed. You may use any divination spells or any other means or devices (crystal balls, tea leaves) to predict the futere. You may also threaten/bribe/blackmail anyone to ensure future goes as you predicted. [ 12-18-2006, 02:42 AM: Message edited by: ZFR ]
