I have one piece of advice for anyone contemplating buying Silverfall: don't. You can't save your game and it is TOO HARD!

What is Silverfall? I usually dislike games with no save.

Review from Gamespot

The save system is just like Diablo 2. Which is irritating imo.

Yeah, and their excuse for not have the option to save is that the game would be too easy. Well, wouldn't we, the customers be the better judge of that?

I remember those annoying games all too well, you clear out a room, cave, floor, or whatever full of bad guys, and when you're almost done, something or someone kills you and you'll have to go back all the way to your last savegame and do the whole ritual all over again. I hate games without quicksave options.

I have to admit that i had a certain interrest in Silverfall after reading some previews and having seen some screenshots, but after reading this i have to give it a long good consideration.

I completed the french version of Silverfall a while ago. I liked it, it's your typical diablo clone, but I liked the nature-tech aspect, it remind of of arcanum. And I thought the items were nice.

I don't remember not being able to save, or having any problems with saving anyway, I never lost anything. It is true the game is hard for the first few minutes, but then not far from the start you get your first henchman and you can set her to heal you. After that the game is pretty much easy. I think I only died 2-3 times.

Not the best game of the year, but I liked it.
