I am having problems with the graphics to Baldur's Gate 2. Everyone will be talking fine then all of the sudden they start stuttering. Everyone starts walking really slow and I can't scroll around to see the area. If anyone can help I would appreciate it. Thanks.

It seems to me that BG2 is 'eating' memory : After 1 to 2 hours of play, all actions suddenly take a very very very long time. The only remedy I know is to reboot the computer ...

It's a quite common problem (it has happened also to me).
Here are the possible solutions: 1 - Disable 3D: you won't loose too much (BG2 is not a true 3D application) 2 - Reinstall, defragment your HD and perform a TRUE FULL INSTALLATION btw, I've adopted both the two solutions and now everything is working fine (I've also reverted to 3D, so the major problem seems to be related to HD fragmentation and installation type) |
