His name is Tor'Gal. The problem with this dude, is that his regenerating powers are very high. The other two trolls who are with him, aren't that hard to defeat. What you could (NOT should!!!) do is setting some traps near the entrance to the room where Tor'Gal is. The rest of your party stays in the room before Tor'Gals room; only your thief goes ahead. Your thief enters Tor'Gals room, engages the conversation, and then speeds back to that room where the rest of the party is. Tor'Gal and two other trolls will follow, and be hit by the trap. Then you attack with the strongest party members (such as Minsc), while your mages fire some Magic Missiles at the three trolls. You have to work fast, due to his regenerating powers. Good luck!!

Doesn't the weapon Crom Faeyr work against trolls??
YEah, trap setting is a cool trick. How about summoning a lesser demon in that room?? (not a pit fiend, a 7th level one?) Or the cloudkill wands?? firing from a distance? Just wondering |

Well, the flail of ages does acid damage. I usually give one of my tanks that to make sure they finish him off. Also, I usually send in a couple fireballs for good measure. Also I think there's a bug with Agawhosiwhatit's Scorcher. It's supposed to do fire damage to anyone in the path, but I fired it through my party once, just for kicks, and only the target took damage. Then again, I think that was BG1, and there were a lot of bugs in that game (like Druids, Clerics, and Bards getting shafted on their usablility, and rangers not getting Dual wield )
and that's my 2 cents... |

Another general method of fighting that you should use throughout the game is to position your fighters within doorways so that monsters cannot attack magic users or archers. |
