For my next run through, I was thinking a solo mage. Which do you think would be more challenging: a diviner or an enchanter?
The diviner misses out on conjuration (no familiar or summons, no planetar) Enchanter misses out on invo/evo (no fireball, horrid wilting or mordenkaneins) What do you think? |

Enchanter would be MUCH harder, I think. After all, you'd get a LOT fewer actual damage spells, among other things...

I think that starting as diviner would became really difficult but without any kind of summons youŽll get hard times

Initially, I thought a diviner would be tough, as you don't get any fodder, but actually you still get animate dead and mordenkaneins.
Now I reckon an enchanter would be harder, as you miss out on all the blasting power. Thoughts? [This message has been edited by Raag (edited 09-12-2001).] |

Diviner is easier(less hard (I tried it myself once)). You can miss most conjuration spells, but when you can't cast evocation spells, well, you'll have a problem (on some of them). As a diviner, you will still have fodder, btw, you can still charm a lot of your enemies But still, if I were you, I would take the necromancer

If you decide for diviner, take a look at invoker as well: no enchantment spells AND no summoning spells. Even worse than a Dynaheir or a Xan
