Sorry to have to vent like this, but I really need to get this out.

Today I was running the after-camp care at my job, and a police officer shows up. He asked to talk to my boss alone. About five minutes later, he asks to talk to me, and he gets information about the two girls there. The officer says he'll have to take them to the hospital. I figured one of her parents must have been hurt. Anyway, I escorted them to the police car, and I went back in and talked to my boss. Apparently, both of one of the girl's parents were killed today in an auto accident. Although I didn't know them, I'm still a bundle of nerves right now. She's a great, nice, bubbly kid, and she was so excited about going to ride in a police car.

sorry to hear that Moose, i hope the girl in question is gonna be okay. Saying that at a moment like this sounds kinda meaningless.

Oh that is terrible! Don't know what to say, I hope that girl is doing OK, I'll keep her in my thoughts and prayers even though I don't know her. Both parents... that's just tragic

Wow! My condolences -- heck, a hug -- to the girl, and a shoulder to you. There's some kinds of news you just don't really want... sorry you got to be part of it.

And I'm with Mysti -- go give those in your life an extra hug, just because you never know when it's going to be over.

Peace.

This is so sad! I hope she still has some family that loves her and can take care of her. Even though they can't relpace her parents.

It really makes you think about your loved ones. I always try to say 'I love you' to my boyfriend before he goes somewhere, doesn't matter where. Cuz you really don't know when your going to loose them.
