I was driving into work this morning with my fiance and we were just talking and kidding around. I saw that I was one of four red cars in a block on the highway and joked "hey, look! Four of us, we can take over the highway, bwhahahaha!" To which my fiance replies "You are so weird!", while he laughs and reminds me he loves me anyway.

We turn onto the next road and are coming up to a light so I'm slowing down. Off to the left I note a young woman standing on the sidewalk in front of the shopping mall lot and there's someone sitting on the sidewalk next to her. I first note the bright blue shirt and then my brain registers something else...yes, this guy/gal is wearing a complete GORILLA costume, with shirt and pants on over it.

I turn to my fiance, incline my head toward gorilla and friend and say "So, just HOW weird am *I*?" Needless to say he was tongue tied for a few minutes then we both broke up laughing.

So I ask you all, what weird things have crept into YOUR lives lately?

I was cycling home from the rowing club at 10 p.m. last night and it was already pretty dark, but nonetheless crowded on the streets still. When I was waiting for the traffic light to turn green, I noticed a man across the street who was singing or maybe talking out loud, and when I passed him he started talking to me as well. Eventually he even started calling me names!!

Not that I don't get this often, as this was most probably just a drunk, but I thought it was kinda funny. I had a few drinks as well, so I'm glad I didn't get off my bike and asked what the hell he was aiming at (I can get quite aggressive when I've had a bit too much )

Anyway, no real WEIRD things here, but just that.

You can't walk 6 blocks in this town without getting this type of situation.

Here's one that's really weird living in a city. Big truck pulls up to a curb. Teenagers hop out, all wearing Minute Maid (or some other such company) uniforms. They haul out a bunch of boxes and ice buckets and stand there for 30 mins. handing out free new smoothies or fruit drinks you've never seen before. Later that day in the grocery store you notice a "brand new" product on the shelves -- the same one they'd been giving away. Interesting.

Well living a small town not alot of crazy things happen here. But driving out to work I seen the largest concentration of deer I have ever seen. .
And I think the bear is back getting into my garbage I had to clean it up again before I came to work.

Link, I hope you have 'high speed' on that bike if the drunks ever get to throwing things at you! LOL

Xen, a BRICK?! Ouch! I'm glad your friend wasn't hurt but that doesn't happen every day! Well, I take that back, in Moscow it happened alot back in the 80's when I was there. They even had netting on some buildings to catch the brick work from falling onto heavily trafficked sidewalks! Shoddy workmanship, mostly.

Timber So, did you try the new products and buy?

Mack, my dad and stepmom have a HUGE racoon at their camp that gets into the trash if they don't seal it up well. Dad took to tossing the trash bags into his truck and locking the doors.

hmmm, I have a weird thing, but it is scary too, if you want to hear it....if not, don't read any further

I was at work on night, it was raining, had been all day, but nothing more than normal, it was very light gray the whole day, so no one thought it was gonna get bad, my husband worked at the jail then, and got off work at 3, he stopped by the resturant, told me there were warnings all over little rock about tornados, this is what makes it weird and funny, it was my first day cooking at the resturaunt, so what could go wrong? let me tel you at 7 pm, the lights went out, at 7:03 there was "hail" hitting the window, at the same time, my assistant manager, and nextdoor neighbor pulled into the parking lot, at the same moment, the guy I was working with yelled that is not hail, run...just as we got up from the tables, the windows broke in, right where I had been sitting, the sign took my place, a wall fell where my head had just been, when I ducked under the counter, and knives were right above me...(final destination material?) thisall happend within 4 minutes, as soon as it was over, the asst. manager camein looking for her kids, who had just gotten out of the car, when the tornado hit, they made it inside, but the oldest had gotten hurt, by someone not seeing him, and tripped over him, he was ok in a few days, we got up to start looking for everyone to make sure they were all ok, thisone old man was yelling he lost his leg...shudder....when we got to him, we found out it was a prostetic, I then told my manager we had a leak in the roof but considering there was no roof, I guess that would explain it but everyone was fine, it was just oe of those freaky things, that you only see in the movies, lol...and before you ask, it is a hard sound to describe..my best way of telling it is, you know the sound a ballon makes when popped? multiply by 100, and add the sound of glass break, and people yelling
p.s., I will give the link to that horrible day....

ok, here is the link....

Ah well, I'm not that afraid of drunks They can throw anything at me (including insults) I'll just laugh at them. I am like that once every three weeks as well
