Got a Voodoo 5 5500 card and have been experimenting with FSAA and Darkstone. My only complaint is that when running in Glide the gfx look really washed out and blurry. Is there any way to force Darkstone to run in D3D?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Glycerine |

The Voodoo 5500 is not well supported in DirectX 6.x (meaning it uses compatibilty mode drivers) - you'll need to be at least at Dx7.0a or even 8.0a. You'll also want to check the darkstone readme file - turn off interleaving - and check your D3D gamma setting (display - properties - advanced - gamma correction - 3d Accelleration). You may also want to review the compatibility settings and try different settings.
Hope this helps, ------------------ Gadzooks If the only tool you have is a hammer, you tend to view every problem as an Orc. [This message has been edited by Gadzooks (edited 04-06-2001).] |
