Nope! I did hear that it was available for D/L, but I never found out just from where. I may try it though, when I find it.

No, I haven't. I want to know more about the "compatibility" mode first. It's sopposed to 'break' the way you see 99% of the web's sites unless you know how to use 'compatibility' mode.

Re: Anybody here using IE8?
This is the version I'm running. At first my lag times became noticeable quicker, but now they have returned to pre-down-load stage. The very first time here after install, I was greeted with the "compatibility" issue, after making a minor correction, it has become non-existent here. However, my online CC bank does not like it, so one might have a small issue there.

Downloaded it over the weekend to give it a try. No problems yet, not much noticeable difference over IE7 either yet, guess I need to use it more.

Not yet.... after I'm off the road a bit, I think I might give it a shot.

Re: Anybody here using IE8?
I have been nervous to download it because of needing access to my home banking page and my school's homework assignment pages...so if there were issues I would have to go through the trouble of uninstalling and getting back to v7...but now that I think about it, I believe at least my credit union does support FF, but I don't believe my school does. I have to check.
Also, I read that within the first day of its release, there were several issues where people reported back that this or that was no longer working for them. One news report said that MS is even working on a patch already! I just typed in "explorer8+news" and read the latest (done a couple days ago). I don't want to rush in until the dust settles and I see that everyone else is still alive...

Re: Anybody here using IE8?
They won't let me download it. Well there's more to it than that. I'm using IE7 and they are going thru some sort of 'beta' involving IE7 aand it is not compatable with IE8.
