I really wanted to play a Kensai/Mage, and I have ToB now.
So, which level should I dual, I've heard a lot of people saying its good at lv9, some said it is better at lv12, on a book it even says lv13! So, please help me... I prefer level 12. You will get a last weapon prof as well as another +1 to hit and damage from your kensai ability. Some people recommend level 13 but I find it to be a very long wait (that 1 level can extend you past underdark. It all depends on the # of chars in your party, what you do etc). Really not worth it to me. If you want to go past level 12 go to 15 IMHO.
I have played through with a kensai/mage that dualed at 12 and he was a machine. level 9 you will suffer in the thac0 department. If you mostly cast spells in ToB no biggie. If you want to melee the big dudes you will want to dual higher than 9. |

The reason that they (myself included) suggest lvl. 13 is that you get your attacks per round upgraded (very important, paticularly for a Kensai).
If your going on to TOB then I would def. go to lvl. 13. |
