Spoilers: Bug in Redoran Arena quest?

My little test was of course entirely inappropriate from a noble Redoran RP point of view, but I think I found a little scripted bug.

So I've talked this pathetic Redoran guy into fighting a duel in the arena, and given him potions of healing. Of course he still doesnt stand a chance (wielding his butter knife vs an armored guy with a two-handed sword), so I decide to even out the odds a bit.

What I did was to jump into the arena and take one swing at the Hlaalu fellow with the sword, causing him to aim at my adamantium-clad warrior instead. After a few minutes my fellow finally manages to kill the bastard, and when I talk to him he says "wow, i cant believe i won".

After this I am eager to see the reaction of the questgiver in the Redoran canton. The problem is she doesnt have anything new to say at all, not scolding me for cheating the duel, nor congratulating me upon the victory of our house. It seems like there is a scripting bug here.... Anyone knows of a fix for this?

you are suppose to just watch them duel. try reloading your save game.
