Problems with Valen

I recently installed Valen mod, and was happy to have a new evil member in our party. But Valen makes always only problems, like i want to kill an enemy and she charms it the whole time, thats really annyoing or we walk on the streets in the city and she searches for traps or attacks some npc, ruining my reputation. I would regret to drop her, since i made my plans having her in my party, and there are not many evil npcs in the game

But this cant continue, if she wont hear to the party leader

i will have to drop her. BTW i turned AI off, and i spoke to her to stop charming, detecting traps and so on, but that doesnt help... Is there some patch i dont know about, or something i can fix with SK, so that Valens AI will stop? Thx for any help.

You talked to her and she still charms your enemies, detect traps, hides in shadows and attacks on her own? That's a bug - consider reinstalling the Mod.

On a side note... what's "problematic" in charming your enemies? Charmed enemies have this lovely habit of... turning their backs to her... [img]graemlins/hehe.gif[/img]

I will try reinstalling.
Charming enemies is ok, but only when i allow it [img]smile.gif[/img] There is no point in charming someone who is already near death, and after that gets killed by the enemy party stealing my exp. points.

EDIT:
Ok i reinstalled Valen Mod, and it helped...at least till the next battle, after that the problems were back, this is really annoying, i cant even go invisible and scout, cause stupid valen wants to detect traps instead of remaining invisible

You can't tell Valen to stop killing certain people, they're part of her interjections and part of the way in which you have to really be committed to evil if you're going to take her in your party.

Yea, so don't step foot in a church or you'll get jumped. Same goes for when you meet Lonk the Sane and Drizzt Do'Urden.

Hehe ok, ill keep that in mind. Though one serious problem is like i said, that i cant go invisible and scout or backstab someone, cause she leaves immediatly shadows in order to detect traps :/

thats strange as my valen did both of those things at the same time...how high is her stealth...maybe she just fails to HiS?

Yes she does, but you do have a window of time that you are still hidden in shadows while she is looking for traps, just because the selected icon changes she does not show herself for a couple minutes. And you can hide again before she comes out if no one is around. You can have her stop attacking enemies on sight and hiding in shadows on her own but she won't ever stop looking for traps IIRC.
