I think I am pretty straightedge, because I think those aren't necessary.

But then I am not, because I am more of a liberal-minded person, and I would welcome these anytime (except drugs)

Rock and Roll without sex... or groupies or whatever... is just silly hehehehe I don't get the drugs part really, but most people see it as a heightening experience...

What an odd concept... I can understand the value of not overdoing drugs and alcohol, but I don't quite grasp the whole denial thing. Everything in moderation... especially moderation. People seem to find ways to set themselves apart, either as individuals or as a group. At least the straightedge thing doesn't espouse violence or stupidity. Whatever makes you happy without doing do at the cost of another.
Some treat their bodies like a temple, mine is more like an amusement park.
