Multiplayer (please help me)

ok this might sound like the dumbest question you've ever heard on here, but how the hell do you use multiplayer on SOA i've tried so hard but i dont know how, everytime i enter it says no one is on, and i even try at time when the most people would be on, so could please someone help me out, AMAZE ME.

There is no "network" for BG players like Battlenet och gamespy for example.

You have to arange a game with other players you know and use someones ip to set up a server.

Someone creates a game and then the others join on to his ip.

I'm probably not the best one to be explaining this.

First, you find out the IP of the host. Google will provide many ways of finding that out. Sits like www.myipaddress.com can be fooled, but usualy give you the correct IP for an internet game. Local LAN games, you will have to run ipconfig or the like to find the numbers you need.

Now, the IP allows any computer to contact the host. So someone hosts the game, the other players join the game and put in the host IP when asked. Simple.

its not confusing, its easy to setup. All you need to find out is your ip address and make sure you have the same game version as the peron/s you are playing with (i.e the same things installed)

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Of course there is a network you can find players on. Gamespy Arcade has a room for BG2:SOA and a room for BG2:TOB.

Sure, you can connect with Direct IP method, if your friend has the game too. But if you want to find random people across the world to play with, use Gamespy Arcade (Free non-subscriber version).
