I know there was a cheese where you could move all of their equipment to your char and export him/her and reload to have some nice stuff to start with(don't go visit them a second time or the stuff will vanish at the end of the training.

Thanks for the mention, Six, you remembered such a lot of details. I had great fun with that party and they did complete the game ok. The guys at Midget Gems are doing other things at the moment, mostly due to a new PC that runs all those fancy new games. We always keep watch on the postings and we're still legends in our lunchtime.

I will have to disagree with you on this one. Safana is my first choice for thief.

No way--Tiax is a much better Thief than Safana could ever be.

HUH?! Tiax? I don't get it. DO you say that because he has better CON, Cleric spells and abilities? I mean, as a gnome he gets his fair share of bonus to thief skills but less strengh, the timing that you come across this nutbag and being multiclass in BG1 would make him an inferior thief than Safana.

You'll need to enlighten me on that Six...I've always though Safana was the better one...

I've a question.

If you looted all the stuff from the illusionary NPC's, exported the char, started a new game, then stashed the stuff in a barrel somewhere, went to the training again..would the stuff in the barrel dissapear, seeing as how its no on your char?

You could get a lot of healing potions doing this if it worked ^_^

I really don't see a point to this. You people are fooling yourselves. It's cheating no matter which way you do it, so why not CLUA or Gatekeeper it in? It's much faster.

Huh....I thought the little "jack o' lantern" and "raspberry you" emoticons would have been sufficient indication that I was being sarcastic. All hail Tiax: Worst Thief in the game, worst Cleric in the game, humdrum stats, unavailable until Chapter 5, and he's Chaotic Evil to boot. Let's hear it for Tiax!

Is it cheating to play through the entire game dragging Osprey along by a string? Some people want to try the game with the Illusionary NPCs in the party, and the Obe Cheese is the only way to do it. And again, the technicality: It does not involve the Cheatkeys, the CLUA Console, or an editor, so it is NOT cheating.

First of all, you double-posted. Second-he was asking about the healing potions; if you could export the character, hide the potions, and repeat, amassing a large quantity. I don't see a point to this, as it is cheating by my book, and CLUAing/GKing the potions in is much easier.

Spill no more bile on Tiax! Forget ye Quayle? 'Tis that purple egotist's fault we are afflicted with Aerie in BG2! His crime far outweights any perceived worstness on Tiax's part. Had Quayle Tiax's unwavering indifference to the plight of other living creatures Aerie would have likely drowned in her own tears. The superior inferior Gnome is clear.
