first off Welcome to IW!!

Secondly, I found them quite easy when I've ever done it, can you post your characters and their levels please?

Hi Requiem, you haven't given us much to go on but here's some general advice.

1) Search this Forum for previous posts on this subject, this is a hard fight so many people have asked this question before.

2) Never fight them all at once, find a way to split them up into singles or pairs. Use summoning, web, hold person, etc. To keep them away from your party.

3) Now is a good time to use that stach of potions you been keeping, if you don't use them now, you never will. Use all the protection and buffer spells you have available.

4) Use the surrounding areas to set up a better defensive position, e.g. fight them in a doorway.

Keep trying and good luck.

yeah, I would suggest summoning *tons* of monsters to hold them back if you're new to BG series. Get a win first and then try different tactics.

a side note, if you play BGT, BG/ToSC follows the SoA rule, and so your party cannot control more than 5 summons at a time. Yet, if you do go into Durlags Tower playing BGT, then your party should be quite tough at that point, and the fight will be easier even you cannot resort to unlimited summon cheese.

- If you had trouble killing the guards outside Durlag's, you're not ready for the Tower itself.
- Do the upstairs first.
- Defense, defense, DEE-FENSE! Buff up your best warrior(s) beyond all recognition and have them occupy the bad guys' attention, so they won't attack your weaker party members.
- Of course, the best defense is a good offense. Concentrate your firepower and try to pick your enemies off one at a time--spellcasters first.

you know you dont actually have to fight them all at the same time, you can get away with two at a time, which would be easier, you could then go away and buff up some more.
