Just wanted to update you on some changes to Level 13.

Personally, I didn't like the original design, as it's boring. Now, I have added a small city. I have loads more to add to it, and many of the houses will have rooms to enter. Most is done now--did most last night. Be aware, entering these homes will get you attacked, unless you are a VERY good thief, and are hidden in shadows. (Like thief games) . there will be some neat treasures to find too. Some Drow thieves will give you missions to go steal special items from some homes for gold, or something else--and XP.

Check it out so far, let me know how you like it.

I have been meaning to tell you how much I like the entrance way into level 13. it is pretty fun to travel that route. I was there yesterday, and visited the void plane briefly, but that is it. I did not get further into town...but now that you provoked my interest, I will be sending my new shadow dancer in there to take a few peeks when I can spare the time and know that I do not have to get up from here to go chasing a kid or doing an errand.

I poked my nose in there with Kala, my Fighter/Blackguard/Monk... pretty nice Z, for a second or 2 I was almost lost. Been a while since I was on level 13.

I played around in the lake of shadows also.. that was a tough fight to get through everything. Kala is my most powerful character and she had to work pretty damm hard to make it through, I was impressed.

Is that the idea you got from the 'War of the Spider Queen' series, I almost expeted to see a Duerger City on my way around *snicker* Those Xorns were a tough bunch... and standing right on the portals, your evil

Now that level 13 is open, are you going to remove the secret entrance? Just curious.

Howdy Z (and folks)... been awhile since I've been posting on here... I like what's been done with EfU, especially for level 13 (entrance to it and the city itself along with the Lake of Shadows). Poked around there yesterday and day before for a bit, and I like the new changes and challenges. Too bad I pissed off the guards already and the city militia was hunting me through the streets. That was tough.

I think I was playing while you were still making those changes however, because I noticed things in an "almost ready state" I like the idea of being able to skulk around a bit now... give my rogues something to do other pick pockets (or maybe they should as part of a mission?)

Question: I was trying to determine how potent my characters should be inorder to make a half-decent attempt at adventuring down there... does the mod still react to the level of 'character level/ potency (ubering?) or should I just give up and bring my 40th level Blackguard?

Hmmmm Ehrys.... how about your Blackguard vrs Kala, if you win your too powerful... as Kala is pretty damm insane. I only play her for new areas as it is.

Just an idea since I know neither of us would take it personaly

Ah-Ha! You 'got it' Teri! I was indeed trying to recreate that exact scene, man! I was even thinking of making a break away area from THAT area for a Duerger city!! You're reading my mind!!!

PS: Will I close those portals? Muhahah.. yes and no. Wait till you see the replaced level 3: Skullport level. That is all I can say.. It's 5 times larger, and there are loads of things to do there. It should be released (version 1.2.9) in a few days. I am polishing this BIG TIME.

ROFL!!! My blackguard vs Kala... well, my blackguard is 40th level, but he's susceptible to the wiles of women...

I just tried a pure fighter character lastnight... good grief, Devasting Critical/ Overwhelming Criticals are life-saving feats on level 13 & Lake of Shadows!

(pondering what neat character to make next)

Z... I can open the doors into the homes, but can't actually go in (there doesn't seem to be a transition trigger?)... is it that you've created the stuff, but just haven't deployed it yet?

... my rogues are eagerly awaiting to see what the Drow have in their homes to steal...

Yeah, the door will all work in the HUGE-ASS (lol) update v1.2.9, which is one of the largest updates done in a long time... I am finishing level 3 up at the moment, and the Drow rooms.

The NEW skullport is the 'real thing' guys. And I mean real. I am busting ass to get this done for either tomorrow night or Sunday. You MUST see this update. Start at level 1 and go through all the levels, because for the first few days, the warp zones will be dead from the tavern bedrooms--but the new skullport DOES have them...you just gotta FIND them--and it isn't easy.
