Do we have a startup date for server vault? I don't want to waste any more time on the local vault character.

i think that will take awhile. I think Z will add some touches first before doing it. its not hard to make your lvl 10 to lvl 40 char in undermountain. .

scratch yes.. but lvling is easy in undermountain AND Z will allow us to start with lvl 7-8. since its near impossible to start at 1 without dying a million times. but its up to Z. he still hasnt decided yet.

It would definately be more fun. I grow rather weary from traveling with level 40 powergamers with uber custom equipment. It just isn't challenging. On the other hand, if he goes PW, there might be less visitors.

There will not be less! Because there are about 7 to 10 old members of Ironworks that haven't come around since before the christmas break due to the Undermountain being over run by ubers.
These members are some of the best RPG gamers we have here at Ironworks and I miss them not comming around as often. Many of them do play on other server vault mods and have expressed that they will return when we go server vault. I have told some of them about Ziroc thinking about doing it toward the end of summer. I also told some of them of the many changes for the better "Z" has made and once we are rid of the ubers they will come back. also once Ziroc has all the quests in place you'll see alot of new faces in the server.

I voted server-vault or mod entry scripts to:
- validate item level vs char level,
- remove all item granted immunities (except perhaps death spells due to the high percentage of characters who won't make it past level 1)
- no items should have an AC bonus above 10 (I've seen characters walking around with higher than 75 AC... like what's the point in playing?)
- no items should give ability bonuses above +1
- no items should cast epic spells. You want to cast these, earn it.

As it is, most of the characters walking around in Undermountain could probably start their own pantheons... "Hi I'm Shecky the 1st level Kobold, what's your name? Oh Hi Shecky, I'm Thor, wanna see my hammer Mjolnir?"

my AC is 71,, now before you are going to kill me and say im uber, all the items ive got is from undermountain so it would be pretty hard for the mod entry scripts to work when you want to relog in unless it recognizes the items youve got are from undermountain. that would be a hard script to do.

im a little curious now about the definition of uber..

ive designed my dwarven defender/paladin/torm to be the most resistant character haveing near immunities to everything except divine and harm magic. damage resistance is above 50+ (thanks to a certain armor i found lying in undermountain) but not immuned to critical or sneak attacks (talk about sneak attacks!!!). my weakness of course is lower attacks rate and everything offesive. heck i cant defeat the blasted archmage on lvl 12 without using magic missles (thanks to the amulet) nor can he harm me actually so we are a draw. so can you call me uber? oh yeah.. he is at max level.
