I have not listened to Slipknots new album, but I have heard their other songs, which I thought were great.
So if anything I think their new album would be great too

What do you consider power metal then? Cause power metal are bands like sonata arctica, nightwish, rhapsody and I don't hear anything close to that in slipknot songs

Both of you named some cool bands

As I lay dying, From Autumn to Ashes, Lacuna Coil and In Flames rock Don't know for At the gates, when I was listening to an mp3 I liked it more than watching the same song as video clip. Don't know why.

Finnish and Norwegian metal rule Children of Bodom, Einherjer, Battlelore, Sirenia, Finntroll.

The topic wasn't about if there were better bands than slipknot (hell yeah lol)

well here goes my list:

after forever - gothmetal/heavy
epica - gothmetal
ill nino - metal
evanescence - dunno commercial shit i suppose lol
children of bodom -melodic death
fintroll - folk black
battlelore - fantasy/deathdoomy
cd blot by einherjer - viking metal
darkseed - doom iirc
nevermore - doom
dark moor - power
penumbra - gothmetal
vampiria - symphoblack
graveworm - symphoblack

You should try to look at the band Kittie too, they're really good. Well I think they are. Just check them out.
