Incidentally, what bands would you all LIKE to see but have not seen?
For me, I guess the choice would be based on musician skills: I'd love to see bands like Queensryche, Tool, Primus perform because I love hearing a great, gifted musician play. I saw Terry Bozzio once (solo), that was simply stunning. Apart from that there are many classical concerts I know I want to go to before I die. Top of the list are a GOOD version of Die Zauberflöte (the ideal would be Natalie Dessay as the Nachtkönigin - she surpasses genius) and Mozart's Requiem, Tchaikovsky's piano concert no. 1, Gorecki's third symphony and Carl Orff's Catulli Carmina. |

Good question Melusine!
I would have loved to have seen Sabbath - my parents went to one of the Sabbath/Ozzy reunion gigs and said it was bloody brilliant. And Iron Maiden - they don't play too much in the UK alas, again my parents went to a one-off gig recently and didn't get me a ticket. I moaned so much about it that they now ask me if I want to go with them before they book tickets to any gig! They get advanced warning of any upcoming metal gigs before the tickets are released - I don't usually hear about them until it's too late, a lot of them sell out quickly ![]()
