Yeah, I've seen the before and after pictures recently. Quite a shock. Looks like some kind of poison to me. OTOH, he does live in the Ukraine, which has a substantial background level of radiation. However, the quick onset and timing (right before the election) makes it pretty suspicious.

I read the same article a few days ago on the BBC where they also asked several skin specialists what could have caused this and some said that it was a special substance normally found in the human body but which in large quantities can cause this. Then there were others who did not agree with this. Anyway as Aerich said the timing is very suspicious.

I find it kinda strange that he is treated at the Rudolfinerhaus (a private clinic with more reputation than know-how ) instead of the AKH (public university clinic and top hospital in Austria). Probably because of seclusion.

The same kind of blackening can happen with frost bite.

The know how didn't come from that clinic, it came from an Amsterdam research center, which has studied the effects of cyodin for many years. I guess they shared it with their Austrian colleages, who at that time didn't have the knowledge how to deal with cases like this.

Are you merely suggesting an alternative, or do you refuse to believe the story, MagiK? Frostbite seems a little farfetched for someone his caliber. If he were homeless, yes, but running president?

Actually I was uninformed on the issue [img]smile.gif[/img] I only saw the picture and recognized the tell tale scars of some severe frostbite, and seeing as how the guy lived in the Ukraine where they have some severe winters, I just assumed he had had frostbite. I never did see before or after pics so I didn't know when or how he got the black scars on his face. Im not denying that he was poisoned (I have read up on the issue since) I was just going on what I saw in the picture.
