Generally I find any battle that causes a party member to die, an exercise in failure, and reload. This is just my opinion however.
On a side note... I always found it distressing why people keep having the mistaken assumption that Aerie and/or Imoen cannot stay alive during major battles. |

Er yes, I was just reading the topics, and I had a thought; "does *no* one cast the 'femble-minded' spell on dragons?" I find that it is quite amusing to, of course you have to get past their protections, shouldn't be too hard, just use the , is it malestrom spell? and then perhaps a 'timestop'. Then just sit back and let your characters hack away at the enfembled creature, before you takes it head for a 'grizzly trophy'.. thats all there is to it. well thats my thought at least.

Here is another tactic.Works fine for me
![]() Prepare a spelltrigger with 3 LR with Aerie. As soon as he changes to dragon form fire the trigger and cast time stop with Imoen, followed by improved alacrity. Then cast as many abi dalzims as you can, greater mallison's,finger's of death delayed blast firebals. Normally you shall inflict enough damage to drop him as soon as the time returns to its normal flow!
