I enjoyed him at first, it was only after several friends, and cousins referrences that I gave the FR a second try after the POS that was Waterdeep (written by Troy Denning - whom I usually enjoy - under a pen name). I haven't read a whole lot else in the realms other than some short story novels, but that's mostly due to lack of reading time.
