Basically, in ToB, dual classes, of any kind, are killer. But I LOVE the ones wherein you have a fighter/spellcaster of some type. The reason is that there are two weapons everyone can use, staffs and slings. And, in ToB, you can get an incredible staff that anyone can use, and since its combat-oriented, its hard to fit into single player parties, cuz every1 uses swords or axes or maces. This staff is the counter to anyone who dares tell me my kensai/druid can't fight worth a toss.

I always wondered what would be the expression of a person's face as he flies across the room from a critical hit from a Kai x5 backstab from the Staff of the Ram +6 from a Kensai->Thief with 22-25 STR... ...

Somehow i don't think they will be flying... the staff will probably go through them! Instant kill anyone?

If you want to roleplay a schizophrenic, try a Wizard Slayer->Mage.

If you want to roleplay a schizophrenic, try a Wizard Slayer->Mage. [/QUOTE]Well that's not that stupid after all. I rember that there was this societies of mages called "Foes of the Wand" (in the 2nd ed Wizard's Handbook). They loathed all magic items because they thought that they ruined the art of magic. In their minds true magic should only come right from the source (ie. the spellcasting mage).

Imagine this guy who had taken the ideology a bit further believing that only proper mages (ie. Foes of the Wand) should be allowed to cast spells and had dedicated his life eradicating "false mages" (even taking up fighter training to reach his goal).

Why i mentioned an archer --> cleric was because their abilites obviously contradicted each other. An archer is good with bows while a cleric is prohibited from using them.

Well... an Archer->Cleric will be the best slinger in the world.

Even if the game restricts the Archer to only be able to have 2* in Slings.

A wizard Slayer/Mage would be decent... He has a bit of magic resistance and spell disruption for fighting other mages.

I wonder though... if the Wizard Slayer's spell disruption ability is usable with Melf's Minute Meteors?

IS it at all possible to have a duel system like Jan. Where both kit increase. What use is a Kensai/Mage if you only lvl 9 in kensai. Mages arn't really made for mellee.
