Question Mark

I know this isn't applicable to BG2, but in BG1 there was a bug that allowed you to drink a health potion in your inventory and then give it to someone else, and then when exiting the inventory screen your health would go up but the potion would remain with the new owner.

But in some cases when i did this the new owner of the potion would then for some reason spawn another 65,000 potions in addition to the potion he has just received....couldn't carry all the potions but it meant you could stock up pretty well!

Just wondering if anyone knew about this? or is it old, old news?

I don't think this bug occurs in BG II, there is however the swap the potion for a scroll bug exploit .

It makes sense. 65000 seems to be the max # of charges for an item...there's a similar bug in BG2, in which a Nishruu hits a character carrying a charged item, and it "warps" around to 65000 charges. I think they've eliminated the potions bug in BG2 though.

Aye they have, if you drink a potion and give it to someone else then nothing happens...although if you drink a potion and then replace it with another potion (ie in the same slot) then the potion you have just placed in the slot with will be drunk instead....not important, just something i noticed...

Which can be a fair way to get around unfair restrictions, actually, such as the way Wizard Slayers aren't allowed to drink the Potions that confer 50% Magic Resistance. What the hell is up with that, anyway???
