I know I could PM you about this, but I think that this is in interest of other forum members too.

How far did you get with your Solo Sorcerer?
Thanx in advance!

Are you asking about any sorcerer's maximum achievable level, the highest level of Dundee's sorcerer (#3), or are you wondering if he made it off Waukeen's Promenade?

Sorcerers are some of the easiest soloing classes. Suffice to say, it's much easier than, say, a Fighter/Mage/Thief.

If you know the spell system and the spells themselves, you'll waltz through the game.

If you'll pick Project Image, you'll sleepwalk through the game.

Take note Xen, you have Tactics Installed & Playing on Insane (same as me), in plain SoA a Sorcerer will be a Powerhouse... ermmm... in Tactics & Insane... too , you will just encounter some slight difficulties I think in Tactics with Solo Sorcerer (didn't made an attempt to go solo with tactics so, I could be mistaken).

The only encounter I have not pitted my solo Sorcerers through is Ascension, but judging from the battle reports that I read, it should be a walkthrough for a solo Sorcerer.

Bunny Nuke alone should cause 'some' grief, then add a dash of INT-Drain and some other cheesy tactics... ...

Contary to what some may think, the Improved Encounters are a walkover for a solo Sorcerer. Of course... it helped that I had the Staff of Magi... and Time Stop... and Improved Alacrity... ...

Let's just say that the only thing they changed, was that I could now level up faster. Thanks for the free XP as they say!

Improved Twisted Rune was a joke, Koshi from the Improved Guarded Compound did not know what hit him literally, Improved Irenicus was a drooling idiot by the time my Sorcerer was done with him, and I managed to punch him unconsious before stabbing him to death with the Apprentice Dagger I got from my Planar Sphere Stronghold... ...

Numerous Dragons got punched unconsious, Improved Bodhi was a bit of a fight, but she too, fell.

The number one danger to a solo Sorcerer? Himself. So powerful is he, that if he slips, he ends up killing himself. There is power to be had in a Sorcerer.

In conclusion, while Tactics may give you a bit more challenge, in the end, Tactics BENEFITS you, simply because it accelerates your rise to power. Most common solo Sorcerer tactics STILL apply to the Tactics mod. Play your cards right, and you might be wondering why people say the Tactics Mod is hard.

Heh... it was because of my post on how my solo Sorcerer kicked Improved Irenicus' rear on the first try with no prior knowledge that Weimer modified the mod to make it a tad harder and to counter the cheese I used.

Oh yeah, the Bunny Nuke Tactic evolved from the Area Nuke Tactic that I used in The Ritual.
