I had a strange thing happen. I was fighting the Twisted Rune when Jaheira got turned to stone. After the battle i cast stone to flesh and reinvited her. I return to the outside world and Meronia is on a deck of a building above where you exit the Twisted Rune. Neither Jaheira nor Meronia move away from each other so they can find a different path to each other. They don't speak across the decks. I can't coerce Jaheira to walk with me around and through a building to speak to Meronia, it's as though Jaheira and Meronia are connected by a rubberband. So i reload a game, go and fight the Twisted Rune again and Jaheria makes it through without being turned to stone. So she never left my group (which i hear can screw up the romance). I leave the Twisted Rune and no Meronia. I go about my business, let the game sit and let time pass, fight other monsters, etc.. and still no Meronia. Up until this point, i had thought that i missed out on the romance somehow because i hadn't seen anything happen since Ch.3 and I am now in Ch.6
So is there anyway to trigger Meronia? I've not ever used any of the cheat console thingies so i'm clueless as to how that works if i can use it to trigger her. Any other ways that are more legitimate? If it is possible to trigger her with the cheat console, could someone point me to a "tutorial" on it? lousy romance... dulouz. |

Bah. Well i set up the CLUAConsol stuff and did CreateCreature("Meronia") and it summoned the meronia that gaurds the harper building. same dialog with CreateCreature("Merinia"). it did not summon the Meronia that takes Jaheira away. The harper that comes and gets Jaheira is Meronia, isn't it?

Thanks, I'll give that a go. Before i go screwing things up potentially, do you really mean JaheiraRomance, or JaheiraRomanceActive? shadowkeeper has the following:
JaheiraRomance 1047303 JaheiraRomanceActive 1 so setting JaheiraRomance caught my eye, since changing 1047303 is a big difference from 1, whereas JaheiraRomanceActive is already 1. There are thousands of variables in this game, and a google search found nothing pertinant. does anyone have a link to what most of the variables are for? thanks, dulouz. Quote:

Yes, I mean JaheiraRomance and not JaheiraRomanceActive.
The code CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("JaheiraRomance","GLOBAL",1) triggers the next lovetalk. That is why I am not sure if this one works, as what you have problem with is a happening and not a lovetalk. The code CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("JaheiraRomanceActive","GLOBAL",1) sets the romance-active to 1, which is useless, as you already are there. Actually, I think it makes the lovetalks start all over again. ![]() ![]() |

that being 1 (JaheiraRomanceActive 1) is already a good thing to start with so no worries
![]() the game has this time elapsing thingee... maybe you went straight through everything and didn't hang out or wait in chapter three. what you can do is sleep in the forests, or just pause the game and make it sit pretty and play it after 30 mins or so... believe me that works ![]() |

Is pausing the game something that is a neccesary condition? i've left the game on for quite some time without pausing. when you say sleep in the forests, does that mean any outside zone that is not Amn? for example Trademeet or D'Arnise Hold outside(or whatever its called)?

w00t! createcreature("jameroni") seems to have worked.
[30 minutes later]... er wait, i take that back. Jaheira won't go anywhere after she leaves to the harper hold. She just stands where we parted ways and is "busy". Which tells me that something else is wrong. Which is strange because as i said, Meronia did appear once, and tried initiating dialoge but Jaheira and Meronia where unable to find a path to each other to talk. What variables can i check to see that nothing is screwy? How long should I wait after doing the SetGlobal("JaheiraRomance", "GLOBAL", 1) before something should happen? many thanks, dulouz. JaheairaRomanceActive = 1 means the LoveTalks have started but you aren't a "couple". JRA = 2 means you're a "couple" (which, in the unMOD'ed game, I believe, just means that any other romanceable NPC's will steer clear). So, you could try setting it to 2 instead of 1, then try the "rest in wilderness" option (which, from what I've experienced, just means "not in a building" so resting outside - not in an Inn - in Trademeet should be fine).
Every time I've experienced the Jaheira-leaves-the-party-for-a-bit thing, I've been well into the romance, so I'd always assumed you had to be at 2 (btw, 3 means the romance is over due to being ruined). - Imrahil |
