Install Order

Hi there.

I've recently wiped my game of SoA/ToB due to Aerie, Minsc and Jaheria turning into vampires. In order to minimise the chance of this happening again, could somebody please give me the correct order to install the following mods/fixes in. Thanks.

Although those marked with a * you may have to choose only one. I'm not sure they are mutually compatible.

EDIT: in fact, I'm pretty sure the Nalia Romance is not compatible with Ascension, so you may need to ditch that one.

Actually, that is a bug that Dace is facing, and is not part of the game, and is the reason why he is reinstalling.

Nalias romance and freedoms reign are both non-weiDU mods. You can only have one of them, and it must be installed before the other mods, but after the official patch and baldurdash fixpack. I would dump the nalia romance, as you have the more interesting Imoen romance anyway.

Freedom's Reign is an IAP-SFX mod, which means it adds to the TLK in the same way as WeiDU, instead of overwriting it. This means that you can install it with other mods, although it should be put in before any WeiDU mods.
Nalia Romance does overwrite the TLK if I recall, which means that it must be installed before any other mods (but after the official patch and Baldurdash).
Please ensure you use the WeiDU version of Ascension... and doesn't it include ToB Bhaalpowers anyway?

I believe a valid install order would be:

Note that Ease-of-Use option "faster chapter 2 dreams and cutscenes" is not compatible with Nalia's Romance. Be sure to exclude that one (option).

Hi there, I am resuscitating this thread because I have worked out (finally) which mod allowed Minsc and Aerie to turn into a vampire.

The really good news, is that you can turn any of your characters into:

HALF-CELESTIAL (Air Elemental)
HALF-FIEND (Demon)
VAMPIRE
LICH
SKELETON WARRIOR
DEATH KNIGHT

These templates often have MASSIVE bonuses, for example:

- 75% probability of double movement speed
- AC +1
- Str +4, Dex +2, Con +4, Int +2, Wis +4, Cha +4
- Immunity to acid, cold, disease and electricity
- Special abilities:
Level 1-2: Protection from Evil 3/day, bless
Level 3-4: Aid, Detect Evil
Level 5-6: Cure Serious Wounds, Neutralize Poison
Level 7-8: Holy Smite, Remove Disease
Level 9-10: True Sight
Level 11-12: Holy Word
Level 13-14: Iron Skins
Level 15-16: Holy Bolt
Level 17-18: Summon Servant (Greater Air Elemental)
Level 19+: Resurrection

Hmm. Pretty impressive eh.

I can't tell you EXACTLY what the mod is called, because it quite simply doesnt say. However, I downloaded it from http://www.sorcerers.net. It is a mod, and the file itself is called templates.zip.
