First of all, I would like to thank all you guys and gals for all the great help. Couldn't done it without ya!
I've chosen to go on with my cleric/mage. Lots of spells.
Questions -
1)- What is the level limit with BG2 and expansion?
2)- Can I uninstall BG1 to make room for BG2 and still export my charactor?
3)- Can I go through BG1 a second time and export that second charactor?

1. the limet in bg2 is 2950000 and 8000000 in Tob allowing some chars to reach lvl40!
2.Yes, when you uninstall the game the savegames and exported chars remain intact.
3.Im not sure i understand the question but i think: Yes.

1) ?
2) ?
3) Yes. As a matter of fact you can export your character at any time in the game.
I am also moving on to BGII as soon as it arrives, I'll uninstall CS to make room (never play it anyway) so I can keep my beloved BG1. Was just wondering - I finished the game with an elven tank/fighter. Would it make sense to use the exported character or just make a new one?

If you want true role-playing it doesnt matter. But I believe that as a fighter you never accepted 2 or 3 HP as a reward for a level . I believe you rolled for your character at least 1 hour. Than you have found tomes and your stats are 19/20/18/... (would be 19/19/19... for human, half-elf). You will never got such good stats and HP rolling from the beginning in BG2 - so keep your old character. (You could use ShadowKeeper but it is no fun at all)

Er... clarifying. What I meant was would it make sense to use my old character (I've gotten quite attached to her) or make a whole new character - a mage for instance? If I decide to use a fighter in BG2 I will DEFINETELY use my old character (as I said, I've gotten quite attached to her), never to mention that with all the tomes she must have over 90 points by now (I believe my base stats were 18-85/19/17/10/11/11 or something like that).
However, are there many good-aligned fighters in BGII so that I would do better to choose cleric, mage or the like?

In fact there is only one good pure fighter and is evil. There good fighter with some extra abilities but has weaker stats and is available not from the beginning. There are two rangers and one paladin. There is decent fighter- 7th level I think -dualled to cleric - not bed. Very good evil cleric and good alignment multiclass cleric/mage. There is very funny gnome thief/mage. Very good evil mage, two thieves dualled to mage (first with really poor thieving skills and second one is available in the middle of game and is many levels behind you. One bard, druid, and half-elf fighter/druid.

In my opinion
I like that gnome so I say dont take thief unless you will like to try some kit. Take fighter (can be dualled to mage or cleric if you wish), playing good party you could also consider mage. I would stick to figher anyway
