Yay !
It's spreading all over ! ![]() http://www.sorcerers.net/cgi-bin/ult...c;f=2;t=006326 Anyone else playing ? I'm playing for the fifth time, playing with SK modified NPC's. This time I'm serious - no mistakes. I tried one solo attempt with F/M/T, did really well, one little mistake against Improved Bodhi -> muerto. ![]() But it's a little boring and I prefer parties - it's much more intense, because you have to protect 6 people.

I have been trying, but the constant wont of my computer to crash and destroy my savegames has been more trying than actually playing the game.
I plan to solo with a F/M/T, and with a full party of six. I'm currently balancing out a future plan for a medium party of four, then I'll try one of those Bonnie & Clyde two-character ideas. ![]() EDIT => I should add, I'll probably try it after with either a FMC or a MT solo. I'm really much better at using one character (comes from all those commando missions in the original C&C) ![]() [ 09-15-2003, 12:30 AM: Message edited by: True_Moose ]

I'm on about my third NRL 6 person powerparty, and last night I just survived by the skin of my teeth. I've done just about all of the small quests and errands so I figured I drop one of my six for a while and pick up some NPC's for their quests. And my dwarven fighter didn't mind staying back at the Copper Coronet having a few drinks. Well I went back to the Druid Grove to see how my boy Cernd was doing, and being the swell guy I am I thought I would help him out. It's been a long time since I did his sidequest so I forgot what I was in for.
I walked blindly into the Deril house and was backing Nature Boy and his smack talking when Legola Gon or whatever his name is show's up. Ohhhhh Shipwreck! My PC sorceror started scrambling away on his hands and knees reciting spell immunities and and curses. Talk about a rush of excitement and fear of waking up in cell of Johnny's dungeon. To make a long story not quite as long... a wand of cloudkill, a rod of resurrection, spell immunity and a dispel magic from my inquisitor wound up saving my precious NRL game. Deril went down quickly with the dispel magic and cloudkill but Gon got off too many spells and I did lose my cleric/ranger completely. Even after resurrecting a couple of my group at least twice in the end my level 11 Sorceror was facing a near death Skeleton Warrior, a Mordy sword and Gon, by himself. Running for the wand of cloudkill my F/M had used prior to his being fried by a chain lightning I let loose a Meteor ala Melf and killed the Skeleton Warrior. My magic missile nailed the sword as I dove for the wand. Getting up throwing a Meteor at Gon I thought it was over when I saw that the Meteor was ineffective. Another missile destroyed the approaching Mordy sword and then as soon as I could get my wand to respond a ball of dark mist shot it's way towards Gon and exploded into a cloud of toxic vapors. When I saw him cringe from the poisonous cloud as it ate away at his flesh a rush like no other filled my blood. Yes, I have a chance! After the cloud put in some more work on his nasty flesh a Meteor finally took its toll. After flinging Meteor after Meteor I was down to one more and Gon was down to one knee. As the last one hit the screams of Gon ended and the room was silent and I was alone. After using all but the last charge of my resurrection wand everyone but my cleric/ranger hundled around and and gave Cernd what we came for. And then we told him to go away and never set foot in our sight again. It really sucks losing my C/R but I think I will just ask Jaheira if she will join our group for good. Anyway...I just had to get this off my chest since I was totally surprised I survived. And man was it fun! Go No Reloads!
