I walk down the hall you use to get to the well...there are two or three dire wolves, two werewolves and one "Greater Wolfwere"....THe wolves and werewolves die easily enough but no amount of magic nor hacking will kill this "GREATER WOLFWERE" thing...HELP!!! The only solution I which I have found is to summon a few monsters and pin him to the wall as My party runs by but this is a sissy way of doing things in my world and I want to wear this guy as a coat come winter time....give me a hand forum because you have never let me down.

He regenerates 3hp/second. What is your party and their levels? Throw Web equip Ring of Free Action,Haste and attack.
ADD] If you have the Flail of The Ages give them to your best tank, cast (Improved)Haste and he is doomed.

Its a bug according to 2E rules, but if you cast slow on him his regeneration rate will be halved. A couple of hasted tanks should be able to take him out then without too much trouble.

Baggins, what they said would be accurate.

P.S. how did you escape those traitorous kobolds? Or is your ghost simply making an appearance?

i am also very curious about Mr. Baggins' escape. How did you get away from the murderous little buggers?

Edit: Firestormalpha, i am also curious as to how you determined the value of your soul. how? i read something about the test. sounds... interesting.

I usually just avoid the Greater Wolfwere. I have a Thief go invisible, sneak in to get the valuables in one of the further rooms (don't worry, they're not in the wolves' LOS), then I sneak them back out. No need to bother with those enemies at all! Note that I used a THIEF, because there are either locks or traps, or both invlolving the valuables, I don't remember which. You could use a Mage or even better, Jan, to sneak in, but it's up to you. And...if you feel like killing that annoying Wolfwere, I'd follow the advice the others gave you for THAT troublesome fight...

on topic:
sometimes Greater Wolfweres fall easy enough but under some party setups there might be problems, so what lvl and classes are your party?
If nothing helps treat it like a boss fight you can't win:
hit it with lower resistance a few times and after Greater Malison and Doom use some insta-kill tactic (e.g. Disintegrate, Flesh to Stone, Finger of Death, high level Chromatic Orb,...) or stun it and hack awayas fast as possible
OR
Haste your party and Slow the WW, remember that you need magical weapons to hit it (especially when using ranged attacks, as I guess your tanks are magically equipped anyway)
