Replaying the game for God-knows-which time, I decided to go to the Temple District and deal with the Eyeless cult. I entered the Temple of Helm just to see that the game spawned 2 High Watcher Oisigs (that's the guy which gives you the quest) standing next to each other. I decided to ignore the glitch and leave one of them alone as I don't want to exploit a bug for extra XP. After I accepted the quest I went to the sewers where I was level-drained by a trap so I decided I should go back to the Temple of Helm and restore myself before continuing with the quest. The reason I went to the Helm's temple rather than any other is because I killed Keldorn on my way so I wanted to see if they'd react to it. I wasn't sure which of the priests provided healing and restoration so I spoke to the nearest one (Guardian Telwyn).

Apparently, I got the wrong person. Instead of restoration, he offered me a quest to go speak with Sir Sarles in the Jysstev estate. I'm still not sure about this, but I thought this quest is only offered after the Eyeless cult quest has been finished. Anyway, I went to Jysstev estate and Sarles is not in there. I remember that he's in the top corner of the kitchen (or whatever the room is), but there is noone there. Is this a bug? Was I supposed to get the Sarles quest yet? If so, where is he? If not, does it have to do anything with a double Oisig bug?

Btw, if anyone is interested, they don't mind (or don't know) that I dealt with Keldorn in the way I did.

Edit: ToB is installed and the game is patched-up with the latest version of the official patch. No other mods have been installed.

Rule 1: If you hit a bug, Reload. If you took your pre-bug Savegame and overwrote it with your buggy Savegame, you are an idiot.

I've seen reports of the multiple-Oisig bug before, but only on foreign-language versions of the game. Other people may have seen it in the US and UK versions, I don't know. You don't mention BaldurDash in your list of bugfixes; I don't recall a Multiple-Oisig-fix in the list of what BaldurDash does, but installing it couldn't hurt. I doubt it will correct the errors in your current game, however.

Guardian Telwyn will offer the Sarles quest after you accept (that is, you are not required to complete) the Unseeing Eye quest, so that's not a bug. But Sarles not being there is--except that he only appears after you tell the butler that you're there to see Sarles. But as the butler approaches you as soon as you walk in the door, and initiates conversation himself, you would have had to have lied to the butler about the purpose of your visit (or snuck past him entirely) to miss Sarles. Or you just have another bug.

Yeah, you can get the Sarles quest whenever, as long as you've accepted the Unseeing Eye quest. There's another temple quest (the specifics of which I can't for the life of me remember at this point,) that you cannot get until after you finish the Unseeing Eye quest, but Sir Sarles you can actually finish before finishing the Unseeing eye. Did you already have the dialogue with the Jysstevs, because that always happens first in my games?

Remember, you downed Keldorn in a corner of the sewers in between a beholder-worshipping cult, and a crazy dwarf-led bunch of sewer-bandits. No one's gonna check on your little misdeed, especially considering how long he'll wait down there for you.

EDIT => And Six beats me by seconds.

I did reload the game and, guess what? Yup, there were still two Oisigs. Well, I restarted the game, loaded and... yes, still two of them. Baldurdash is installed, however.

The thing is, I had been in the Jysstev estate before. I had to speak to the lady Jysstev in order to get information on the hidden's whereabouts (Jan's quest). When I entered, a butler came up to me so I guess that's why he didn't start conversation when I came back again now.

The Dawn Ring quest becomes available after the Sarles quest, not the Unseeing Eye quest.

Well, hopefully they'll still work. You shouldn't have to remember which one is the "real" one (they should both check the same global variables when they talk to you, after all), but it couldn't hurt. You might also try starting up a new game and seeing if Oisig gets duplicated in that one, too.

Yeah--not everybody recuits Jan (both Yoshimo and Nalia are more strongly "suggested" by BioWare), so most people enter the Jysstev Estate seeking Sarles than seeking Lady Jysttev. Just chat with the butler again and all should be well, and if not, it's CreateCreature time.

Creating Sir Sarles is what I wanted to do first, but I decided to ask why is that he never appeared. I thought it was because I wasn't supposed to get the quest yet.

And Jan is the best thief a mad berserkering dwarf can wish for... Yoshimo and Nalia are both too tall for his liking.
