So you are hopelessly lost and befuddled by the maze in Watcher's Keep? Well, I just completed it with my solo Sorcerer and I decided I would do some exploring. This should help.

Starting Room: This is the first room that you will enter, you will meet Yakman here too.

North -> Back to Watcher's Keep level 2
South -> Yakman's Room
East --> Stone Pillar Room
West --> Quasit Room

Stone Pillar Room: You will encounter 4 Demons in this room, note that this is a Dead Magic room, so you will be unable to cast spells in this room. You still can use equipment spells and special abilities though. If you have a Lawful Good character, you can use that character to click-click on the stone pillar and obtain the Purifier.

North -> Pit Fiend Room
South -> Succubus Room
East --> Tanarii Room
West --> Starting Room

Pit Fiend Room: This is another Dead Magic room, and it contains 5 Demons, so watch out and be careful in here.

North -> Stone Pillar Room
South -> Succubus Room
East --> Quasit Room
West --> Tanarii Room

Succubus Room: You will encounter a Succubus and several Sirens in here. The main problem is their Dire Charms which can wreck havoc on your party if you are not prepared.

North -> Quasit Room
South -> Baatezu Room
East --> Pit Fiend Room
West --> Stone Pillar Room

Quasit Room: This is a Wild Magic room, everytime you cast a spell, a wild surge will occur and because there are 8 Quasits in here that continously cast spells, things can get really messy if fun.

North -> Starting Room
South -> Succubus Room
East --> Tiefling Room
West --> Pit Fiend Room

Tiefling Room: This is another Wild Magic room, but this time you have to fight against several Tieflings.

North -> Tree Room
South -> Tiefling Room
East --> Obelisk Room
West --> Starting Room

Obelisk Room: There are 2 Demons in here that continously summon Salamanders and Elementals.

North -> Starting Room
South -> Obelisk Room
East --> Baatezu Room
West --> Tiefling Room

Tree Room: You have to fight a Cambion and 4 Demon Knights in this room.

North -> Master Wraith Room
South -> Tiefling Room
East --> Tree Room
West --> Tree Room

Yakman's Room: You get the Scepter and the Journal with directions here.

North -> Starting Room
South -> Exit to the outside

Baatezu Room: If you have the right alignment, you can work for the Baatezu and get the Thief's Hood as your reward. You still have to kill them in the end though, to get a Red Gem.

North -> Succubus Room
South -> Obelisk Room

Tanarii Room: Kill the Demons in this room to obtain another Red Gem.

North -> Stone Pillar Room
South -> Pit Fiend Room

Master Wraith Room: This room is infested with traps, so watch out.

North -> Gambling Cambion, and the exit to the next level.
South -> Tree Room

Hope this helps.

Cool! I found this walkthrough somewhere as well, and it really helps a lot! A lot of people ask these questions so it would be helpful to keep this topic bumped. Thanks for the trouble, Dundee.
Oh, and just in case...

In which colours do I need to light the torches on the 4th level?

RED....................BLUE

RED....................PURPLE

PURPLE..............RED

What are the useful combinations for Lum the Mad's Machine on the same level?

Triangle Red Medium = Portal to level 5
Medium Green Triangle = Storm Star +4 Mace
Short Red Green = +1 CHA
Long Blue Green = +5% Magic Resistance
Short Medium Square = +1 STR
Long Circle Blue = +1 INT
Blue Square Short = +1 DEX
Circle Square Triangle = +1 WIS
Long Red Circle = +1 CON

Now we'll neeeever ever get these questions again...yeah right

Edit: Thanks Dundee, it's my own fault for not checking them... they're taken from GameBanshee. I think they may have assumed there that the correct order in which you push the buttons doesn't matter, but it does, of course.

[EDIT]
No problem, Melusine. Heh, heh, although it would have been cute if the newbie had tried it out and wonders why he/she gets fried instead.
[/EDIT]

Oh, and the day people stop asking these questions, is the day Kangaxx/Imprisonment is not mentioned for 1 whole week in the SoA Forum.

Thanks, Dundee. You didn't mention taht you can negotiate with the Succubus and for a mere level drain, she'll take you to the Cambion.

When you run out of useful combinations (did anyone mention that there one shot only?) you can simply hit random button and sometime get 100000 xp. of course other times you get poisoned, lightninged, flamed or stoned, so you have to be careful, but i dont think theres a limit to how much you can get.

we could get a mod to make a sticky thread entitled "common questions" and then post all these things in it. might cut a few newbie questions out.

if you follow yakmans journal it gives you a guide on how to complete the maze and makes the game more fun as you have a nice riddle and you haven't cheated

Sadly, Yakman's Journal does not give you directions on how to find the Tanarii Group whom you must defeat in order to get the 3rd Red Gem.

It is because of this omission that so many people ask for help on where the Hell is the 3rd Red Gem.

Hmm, i folowed that journal and found it no problem. maybe i made a mistake which canceled the mistake in the journal?

i hit the baalors, the tanarii and then the cambion, in that order, got all the gems and lost all the gambling.

You must have made a lucky mistake, because if you follow Yakman's Journal to the letter, you will completely skip the Quasit Room, Pit Fiend Room and the Tanarii Room.
