mekdawa wont let me give him the potion

that insufferable amphibian! i try to talk to him (priest quest 1) but there is nothing about potion or the priests name in the options, and i cant select the potion for give because it doesnt show up in the list of items that can be given, how do i give him the potion?
p.s im thinking of roasting him, if i cook his goose can i do a priests quest 1 in the middle city and still advance to the next guild level?

You cannot have it in your inventory slots or it will not show up.

First make sure that the person with the potion is selected (probably your priest) then click on the use/give item button, make sure that "give" is highlighted blue, then cycle through the items until you get to the potion, then click on mekdawa. If that's what you were doing then sorry, i can't help you then. if you manage to get it to work, stay as close to him as you can until he finishes talking. hope that helps.

I found out about the inventory thing the hard way. I also had to run after him and give it to him when I got close.

Trust me, if you have the potion in the Priest's inventory it will work!

Just have the blasted thing ready as per Shinobi's posting before you even get to the lake, ignore anything else and get ready to do a Carl Lewis impersonation as you sprint after the idiot desperately "control-left clicking" on him as he races out of sight. If possible trap him against a tree so he has to accept help. Then you have to listen to him, again! Of course in the meanwhile you'll probably get attacked by frisky Nymphs or Bandits with delusions of grandeur.

Although I try not to harm NPCs (I waited for Kereille to walk into the mill sails for the 24th time before I got that Amulet back) I may well make an exception for Mekdawa - after everybody has force fed him a potion.
