I finaly beat this thing! (spoilers and many questions)

So I beat Saverok in the temple of Bhal(sp?) in the undercity. A majory pain I will admit but better than the Demon summoned in Beard. To beat him I used my thief to lure out tozak and the magic user one by one. Then I went after Saverok. He fell faster than I thought but he put a big hurt on my tanks before going down. Ok, so saverok falls. My computer kicks in Auto saying congradulations! Your charachters have been exported! Then the final movie begins watching Savroks material form blow away and go down to the Abyss? to destroy his statue. Very odd. During this time I can not collect any treasure or the fabled +1 full platemail armor. How do get these? I Believe I have the latest version of Baldurs Gate w/tales from the sword coast included. It is a 3 CD-ROM set. I purchased it late last year. A christmas present to myself. This game took seven months of on and off play. Reloading several times and asking for much needed advice. This game is one of the best I have ever played! This forum answered questions to put me back on track! My Thanks goes out to the Site creator/web master! Please let me know how to get at any treasure before the game takes over.

Well first of all, Cavalier, congratulations on beating the game! I am glad you enjoyed it so much. Have you played Icewind Dale and its expansion pack Heart of Winter yet? As for your inquiry about picking up the treasure (spoilers ahead)...

You can't pick it up! Once Savorak goes down that is it and as you noticed the movie kicks in and you have a final save game file. There is no way to get around it. By the way, that scene where the statue is destoyed amongst other statues, well those statues represent your half brothers and sisters sired by your Father the god of Murder. Dear old dad saw his end in sight and so to make sure he continued on he made a ton of children on earth before he "bought the farm." Your character is one of his offspring. Savorak wanted to be the new god of Murder and so his plan was to kill off any rivals to his claim. You happened to be one of them even though you didn't have the slightest clue to your heritage. If you already knew all this, sorry! By the way, if you decide to continue on to Baldurs Gate 2, you can transfer your BG1 character into BG2 from your Final Save File of BG1.

You can get all that stuff, plus some neat additions, with the BGT mod which puts BG1 into BG2 and lets you play as one continuous adventure. But you need a full install of BG2 + ToB for that, and its a huge download.

In standard BG1, there is no way and no real point in getting it. Full plate+1 is useless anyway - It may be the best armour, but it dosent allow many AC boosting items to be worn. You tanks will have rings, amulets and so on that wont allow the armour to be worn, so equipping it would actualy raise your AC. And for a tank, AC is all.

Congrads now play BGII I will welcome you there. Anyway when you beat the game do you still keep your equitment when you import your character into BG II?

You keep your existing equipment (protagonist only) for approx 1/2 of a second before the script to strip if from you fires.

They get stripped from you along with everything else, but if you had them you will be able to find them again, if you didnt you cant.

If you want to keep the pantaloons:

Have them in your PC's Inventory when you beat BG1 (or when you transfer the character over to BG2).
Once in BG2, the game searches your Inventory--if the Pantaloons are there, they will be taken from you (along with everything else), and moved to a container very close to where you start the game. They can be re-obtained in less than a minute.

There is a way to keep all your stuff I read about it on here and tried it... it was really easy! And it doesn't involve a cheat, but I still felt like I was cheating so I started over. What are the Pantaloons? I played and beat this game but since visiting this forum have learned I've missed tons.
