I posted this in the BioWare NWN technical self-help forum, but I thought I'd throw this bone here as well. Any input on how to solve this problem with-out spending money would be great?

There's a post about this in the Bioware forums mate, as far as I remember. I can't seem to get into them right now at all but I think it's either a sticky or mass thread and you'll find it in the technical forum.

My SOU installed fine but I'm still experiencing the bloody sound bug crap and I'm getting so *SO* sick of it as it's ruining my gaming experience. I've posted a bug report already but seriously...do Bioware not test their shit or what?!

Yeah I read that sticky but havent posted on it yet. It is about a specific .dll that isn't in my error message. My post about this there has had about 50 reads and no replies
I will post on that thread if a few bumps don't net me a response in the next couple of days.

Sucks to hear you are having SOU problems. I have had this problem since 1.20 and the whole securerom debacle. I have posted 3 or 4 messages for self-help over the months with no useful replies at all so I may breakdown and actually call tech-support. (the horror)

Fortunatley if I run the toolset, open a module then close the toolset. then eject the cd and reinsert it. and then run the NW config utuility and scan my system and test it, the game will work 75% of the time. The other 25% I have to re-boot and start the aforementioned process all over agian. So it isnt technically a game-killer.

Rumour has it that 1.31 will go live in as early as two weeks and its supposed to fix alot of the stupid bugs SOU caused.

Looking at the bright-side... the list of fixes in SOU is longer than the new bugs it caused....

Thanks for the reply! I hope your bugs get squashed soon!

Your game version above mentions that you have SoU installed, thus making it a topic for the SoU forum.
