Raymond Feist's latest book is now out (in hardback), "Talon of the SilverHawk". Just finished it last night - GREAT read!!!! It's a continuation of his Magician / Riftwar series. Pug makes a couple brief appearances in the book, but his son Magnus is a more prominent figure. Anyway, its a fantastic book. Can not wait for part 2!!!

Strange, because I thought that book had JUST (and I mean like in the last couple of DAYS) been released. I wonder if the book had an advance release in Europe???

I've just started getting into the Riftwar series, it started off slow but is really starting to come good now. Where does this book fit in? Just after the end of the Riftwar and before the Serpentwar? I want to read it all in chronological order.

Memnoch, I'll have to check the chronology but I believe it is after BOTH the Riftwar AND the Serpeant War.
Dreamer, you were due. LOL Tomas, It's been too long since I read the previous two series so I can't answer your question. I'll probably reread them though as they are great books. [ 05-12-2003, 11:25 AM: Message edited by: Micah Foehammer ]

I haven't read the book, but I'd imagine it would be after both the Riftwar and Serpentwar saga, because Pug has no son named Magnus at any point throughout the original sagas. Is Magnus the son of Pug and Miranda? Do any other characters make an appearance, ie Calis, Erik, Roo etc.?
Thanks!

Some of the Characters:
Nakor, Magnus, Pug, Miranda .... All except Magnus play minor rolls no sign of Roo or Erik - at least not in book 1 Here is a quote from the book regarding Magnus, Pug and Miranda "More than once Talon had wondered about Pug. He seemed to be a young man, or rather a man of early middle years, but he was still vigorous and in his prime. Miranda appeared to be roughly the same age, yet they were Magnus's parents and Magnus looked to be the same age as they." pg 231 "Talon of the Silver Hawk"

I have read all of Fiest's books expect the empire series and pugs son name is william who died on the attack of Krondor. So did his daughter. unless this book is many years after the war then it can't be possible that its his son. Still i will read it becuase it is one of my fav series.
