I'm new at this game, and am finding it oddly compelling and quite addicting...
Anyway I reached Arnika (thanks to the great advice found here) and ran into Myles. Just for fun, I tried to pickpocket him a few times. He eventually got wise and attacked, so we had to kill him in self defense. What was the quest he was yammering about? Can it be done without him? Is it worth it? The NPC/RPCs make this game very interesting. Last night I met up with some evildoers outside of the bank. I walked into the bank, leaving the baddies to be cleaned up by my friendly neighborhood lay brothers and bank guards. Heck of a deal! TIA. ASW |

I believe the quest he refers to initially is rescuing Vi Domina. Yes, it's worth it. Some experience and she'll also join your group as an NPC if you want her to. Look in the downed spaceship near the center of Arnika.

You killed Myles?!? Man, he's my favorite NPC...
(PS: Was the flood control upped?! As a fast typer, I keep getting hit with it even when I do longer posts than this one above)! :/

He started it!! LOL
I picked his pocket once and got some gold. Went for it again and he said "That's the stupidist thing you've ever done" and attacked. A clear case of self defense on the part of my party. |

LOL! Well what are you doing trying to steal from a thief?
Heh, he knows how to pick pockets... he knows how to catch those that would pick his! However, so ya know Myles is a good source of information... And a great help, if your own rogue doesn't have a high lock picking skill...

speed is more important than the accual skill...
my rouge was twice as effective once he got snakespeed (newest patch), and pickpockets all the time now. (lv 40 or so skill) |

i didn't think snakespeed was ever broken, but only because it always worked for my char. i haven't heard anyone reference that before. was there a problem with it that got worked on in patch 4?
just to clarify for everyone: all 7 major attributes have an "ExpertSkill" that greatly increases the effectiveness of a particular attribute, ONCE YOU REACH 100 in that same attribute. SPOILERISH STUFF . . . . . . . . 100 in STR: PowerStrike 100 in INT: Powercast 100 in PIE: Iron Will 100 in VIT: Iron Skin 100 in DEX: Reflextion 100 in SPD: Snakespeed 100 in SNS: Eagle Eye V***V

I'd reload back to before you attempted to pickpocket the thief. Myles is a damn fine thief to add to your party, if you haven't got one. He can come in very handy. I've used him to shoplift tons of Ressurection powders and scrolls, and plenty else.
