Totally off topic but while playing last night started wondering while us Brits have the same language as you Americans but spell words differently. For example, armour and armor etc.

Could someone educate me why this is? I suspect it's because you were one of our colonies and was some kind of reaction to our despotic rule?

Thanks in advance.

Fiend

Lots of Americans on the forum and as it's always been very friendly, why not?

Variol, as you're a Canadian that explains it, I was trying to think of an American state with the initials NS but couldn't. Does it stand for Nova Scotia then?

well when you pronounce armor
do you say
ar-moooouuuuur (armour)
or
ar-more (armor)
in america we say armor because it doesn't have the gay ooouuuuuur feeling to it
