Im replaying the game as a cavalier so 20% fire and acid resistance. Does this mean it cannot improve cos when I put on the Dragon helm fire stays at 20 % when it should go up to 25%. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have TOB installed? It contains a bugfix for this problem.

You got a bug in your game, because my Cavalier had 90-127% Fire Resistance in my games( depending on equipment).
The 20% resistance to Fire and Acid is a bonus, not a cap. |

Since you have ToB installed, go download and install the latest ToB official patch.

Hmmm yes my game is patched. The fire resistance does improve with the ring of fire resistance setting it to 60%. 20 + 40. I thik that with the helmet on its own it should be 45% 20 + 25. Btw I have checked Baldurdash - no luck. Any more suggestions

Hey Henry,
My Cavalier uses the Helm of Defense because of that issue. I think the description of the Dragon Helm says that it "sets Fire, Acid and Cold resistance to 25%" while the Helm of Defense says that it "adds +20% resistance to Fire, Cold and Acid". I think that this isn't a bug, but that you ought to give that particular helm to someone else. -- Nifft |
