Just received this game and played through the first level. And guess what: I have to play this game at 800x600 or else it wont run..... But guess what too: it doesn't matter because you dont even notice it! Man, these GFX rock! Such atmosphere, such effects. When you shift cameras to FP(nice), standard pan-cam(OK) or scenery cam (wow! ) you get a nice blurry effect. Nothing too shabby, but it all adds up to a magnificant experience!

And as for gameplay: everything that made POP 1&2 so great is back and more. Great combat and nice action. POP is a winner I tell ya!

I give Prince of Persia a B+. The graphics, overall gameplay, storyline, characters, and sound were all very good, but the combat got a little tedious and annoying sometimes. I would recommend renting this game if you have a console system since you'll probably beat in a week or so, and although a very fun game, I doubt many people would want to replay it.

I rented this awesome game for the PS2, and I beat it over 7 days of on and off playing. The graphics are VERY good, and the traps and level layout is excellent. No loading times except for the beginning, and the Story itself is actually unique, and quite refreshing.

My favorite was the Waterfalls area, and god... it gets hard. I ended up with 9 time reverse circles, and a health line that went across the screen to the end almost. (You get added health when you enter that magical place that you drink from). Added time-reversing circles are obtained by stabbing the glowing white flashes throughout the levels.

I just wish it was longer, but I unlocked the original PoP game, and that was SO fun too! I even pulled out my old PoP game box and found level codes, and they WORKED!

Buy this game, rent this game, steal this game, borrow this game, but

PLAY THIS GAME.

I have it for Xbox and I love it. It has what Mario64 had -- intense interaction with the environment. Okay, Mario64 was better, what with swimming and better fighting, but PoP is a damned nice game. And, if you're sick of fighting adventure games, it's nice to get one with good environment puzzles going on.
